Jake is a 10 week old shepherd cross that came in with his sibling Violet. He was found as a stray and they were surviving the elements on their own. He currently weighs 17lbs and will grow to be a larger dog.

He can still be timid at times but is learning fast and enjoying all the exposure to new experiences with his foster family. He will need continued exposure to the world around him along with obedience training to be your best behaved little buddy.

Jake is well socialized with other dogs, he loves to play with his sister and his foster siblings. He is gentle and loves to snuggle with the littles in the house. He loves baths and all the affection, give him a scratch on his side and he will kick his little leg a mile a minute. He is crate trained and will sleep through the night and is making good progress with potty training during the day.

As Jake was on his own he is sometimes a little food aggressive with his sister. He has been working on slowing down his eating with a slow feeder and hand feeding to help with this. He is not a fan of the leash and will pancake but he's happy to follow you around and will come when you call his name.

If you would like to meet Jake, please fill out an adoption application and someone will contact you if you are a match!

*To get started, please review our Adoption Policies and fill out the application form below.*
