Hi! My name is Brody, and I'm about 2 years old. I am a very sensitive and timid boy that came from northern Saskatchewan where I was homeless and fending for myself. I am a happy boy who loves getting pets and belly rubs, and who dislikes being alone. If you visit me, I will literally try to give you a hug or sneak up onto your lap when you are not looking! I have just learned that I enjoy toys, playing tuggy and how fun it is to pull the stuffing from toys!
With the patient encouragement of the volunteers at the rescue, I can now climb stairs and I am slowly learning some commands. I am a nice walker on a leash because I do not pull very much, but I really enjoy going for a "run" on a leash - I would love to be someone's running buddy!
I am also learning to not be so intimidated by other male dogs - I was never taught proper socialization when I was a puppy and I usually growl at other male dogs. But everyday I am learning that I can make friends with other dogs, and the more confidence and trust I have in my human, the better I will get!
I desperately want to have my own family to play and go on adventures with! I would really enjoy children, but because I still jump up when I get excited, maybe children over 12 years old would be best for me to play with. 💖
All in all, I am starting to look forward to this new life - and I promise to use my beautiful golden eyes to try to read your mind of how I can please you! Please fill in an application and come down to meet me at the rescue!
- Paws and Kisses, Brody 🐾
