She-Ra

Hi, my name is She-Ra. I am about 2 years old and weigh 88lbs. Please ask about my special adoption fee. I am a BIG girl. I was surrendered from Northern Saskatchewan where I was resident dog at a Youth Group. I don't mind children but I am not a child's dog.
I need a strong leader who has LOTS of experience handling dogs. I have a very high prey drive and I should not be around small pets, cats or other small dogs.
I am a great protector of my people and but am also a HUGE suck and love to cuddle on the couch. I would love a family that I can go on lots of car rides with and short walks where its just us. Due to my prey drive, I'd rather not go to dog parks or off-leash areas. I do like to play with dogs my size, you can see me playing with another dog at the rescue on the Facebook page. Also, due to an old injury, I get a little stiff and sore in my hind legs so short walks are ok for me. I walk great with a gentle leader. It is important that my future family knows that it's possible when I get older, I may require some treatment on my legs. As of right now, treatment is not required but I may require pain medication if I push myself too hard.
Due to She-Ra's special needs her adoption fee is reduced.
If you would like to meet She-Ra, please fill out an application and if you are a good match, some one at the rescue will contact you.
