German Shepherd Great Dane X
Tan and Black
Hi, my name is She-Ra. I was born February 1, 2019 making me just over 2 years old and weigh 88lbs. I am a BIG girl, part German Shepherd, part Great Dane. I was surrendered from Northern Saskatchewan where I was resident dog at a Youth Group.
I am super loving and loyal. I bond quickly and love all the people, I am especially fond of children given my background. Children with experience with large breed dogs are best suited for me, when I get playing I can be clumsy and I don't want to scare anyone with my size or accidently knock them over.
The volunteers say I have tons of personality. If I am not sleeping on your lap or snuggled next to you on the couch you can find me entertaining myself. While I love playing fetch with my humans I also know how to play it by myself, I like to bounce my ball and then catch it on the rebound. I also like to talk to myself in the mirror. I'm kind of a goof.
I do have a strong prey drive so dog parks and off-leash areas are not for me. I am not suited to be homes with cats or other small pets, including small dogs. I do like to play with dogs that are my size.
While I love to go for walks and down to the river I do have an old injury that can flare up if I'm too active or push myself too hard. As of right now it does not require treatment but my future family needs to be aware that it could flare up and would require treatment in the future. I'm happy to get my activity with a couple of shorter walks a day and time playing in the yard. I walk very nicely with a gentle leader. I also enjoy car rides.
Please ask about my reduced adoption fee.
