Rosie is approx 35-40lbs full grown, 2 year old spayed shepherd cross. Rosie was a transfer from another rescue in Manitoba
What Rosie's Manitoba fosters have to say:
Rosie was very shut down and shy when she arrived. She was about to give birth for the fourth time in her short life. She quickly blossomed and is friendly and more confident. She is good with other dogs but does not enjoy young energetic puppies. She is a super gentle girl even when playing and has a submissive nature. She never gets hyper and is very low key. She is good at the dog park and never strays far from her caregiver. The is no risk of her running away as she loves attention, cuddles and her food. She is a bit of a scavenger so be careful not to leave any interesting wrappers or garbage nearby. She is a terrific companion with cats and does pay them much attention, the litter box is another story! Rosie is still afraid of the cat and will not jump in voluntarily.
Rosie is not a lover of cold temperatures and would rather spend her winter hanging out inside, anything below -6 and she doesn't enjoy walks. Jackets and booties are a must for this girl.
She is fully house broken and will go to the door to let you know when she needs to go out. She loves having her belly scratched and is okay with nail trims but not a fan of bath time.
Rosie is ready to join her forever home on January 28th and until then would love a foster or foster to adopt placement here in Calgary!
