Meet

Gil

Hi my name is Gil and I am approximately 6 months old. Opposite to my sister Gwen I do have short Dachshund legs an should not grow much more.

I am quite nervous of new people, especially men and will bark at you initially. I have bonded quickly to my foster family and I love belly rubs and chasing my ball. I get excited when I see you grab my harness and will sit nicely for you to put it on. I do need a little work on my house training as I haven't quite figured out how to let people know I'm ready to go outside. I am mouthy but it's likely due to the fact that I'm teething, I lost four baby teeth this week! I haven't been introduced to any cats but I like to play with other dogs but can take some time to warm up to dogs that are bigger than me. I will need a loving home with lots of time an patience to allow me to warm up on my own terms and will continue to expose me to all the sights and sounds of my new urban environment.

Please fill out an application and the volunteers will be in touch to setup a meeting!
