HI! My name is Benny. I am about 3 years old and fully grown weighing about 25lbs.

What the volunteers have to say:
"Benny is such a character! He literally makes me laugh when I walk him or let him out to do his business. Benny knows what he wants and is a very confident dog - in a good way. He loves his pets and is such a happy guy!! Super sweet boy who needs a strong leader with the same confidence he has."

I would do well in a home with no small children and no small pets. I would also like a quiet, experienced home who will continue training with me. I need a confident alpha leader with a gentle hand. If allowed to get away with things, I will test boundaries so need a home who will treat me as a pack member not like a human. I know some dogs like to be on the furniture and to rule the home, as do I, but if I am allowed to be King Pin I push boundaries which can get me into trouble. I would be more than happy to have my very own comfy bed on the floor and not be allowed on the furniture

I have short little leg and the people here say I look adorable when I run around. I love to play fetch and have tons of energy. I like to be around people and really don't like to be left alone so am hoping for a family who can be with me a lot to help with my separation anxiety.

Due to previous injuries, I don't like to go on too long of a walk. I can run and be active for a little while but I like to be able to take breaks and go at a pace that is comfortable to me. I am not in any pain right now and my injuries are old and have healed but they do slow me down a little bit and it is a possibility that I could develop arthritis in the future.

If you would like to meet me, please fill out an adoption application and if the people at the rescue think we are a match, they will call you to set up a meet.

*To get started, please review our Adoption Policies and fill out the application form below.*

Once your application has been received, selected applicants only will be contacted by one
of our Almost Home Canine Rescue team members to conduct a phone screening. This is
an opportunity to go over your adoption application and discuss the overall process.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
