Hi, my name is Alaska, and I am looking for an emergency foster for the holidays.
I am about 5 years old, and although I am very sweet and love being around people, I can be fearful of most new people and experiences. I was apparently not socialized very well when I was a puppy, and I have not had the chance to find out what "normal" dogs are like.
I am looking for a foster that is experienced with rescue dogs that have had to deal with a lot of stress and anxiety, and who will have the patience and time over the holidays to allow me to decompress at my own pace. A quiet home with people who are familiar with large dogs, as well a who understand how to set boundaries and help me overcome my fears with positive reinforcement would be the best Christmas present! I am currently working with some amazing dog behaviorists and my foster (or my adopter) would be welcome to come along with me to learn more about how to best help me.
I am a very loving girl who is looking for a chance to find a patient and loving home where I can finally relax and feel safe. 💖 Will that be you?

of our Almost Home Canine Rescue team members to conduct a phone screening. This is
an opportunity to go over your adoption application and discuss the overall process.
